Classes Full for 2019

Barrels and Poles

There will be two sections of Barrels and Poles. Beginning Barrels and Poles is for campers new to these events or campers who need to increase their confidence.  Beginning Barrels and Poles will cover foundational skills and a walk/trot only. Advanced Barrels and Poles is for campers who are already competing in these events.  Advanced Barrels and Poles will sharpen existing skills and instructors will work with riders on shaving precious seconds off their time with different exercises to incorporate into their practice schedule. Campers must be confident riders and must have excellent horsemanship skills to be in Advanced Barrels and Poles.  Please consider which class is best for your camper to ensure safety and proper instructional level.  Our instructors reserve the right to move campers to a different class if they are not ready for Advanced Barrels and Poles.

Meet your Instructors:

Hello, Campers! My name is Brittany and I am IN LOVE with helping kids not only ride horses but also become closer to God! I have been riding horses since I was 4 years old and barrel racing since I was 6. I really focus on the kids understanding slow is smooth and smooth is fast. I know it’s hard to believe but Barrel racing isn’t just about how fast you can cross the timeline. It’s crazy to think that 15 years ago I was attending Rodeo Bible Camp for the FIRST TIME! I loved it so much that I attended camp for 6 years! I entered as many different classes as I could. Team Penning, Team Roping, Goat Tying, and one of my all-time favorites barrel racing. My Favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:5 “God is within her, she will not fail; God will help her at the break of day”. Not only in rodeo but all aspects of life we face challenges. This verse reminds me that no matter how defeated I feel, God is with me and I will accomplish anything I set my mind too. I firmly believe God’s gift to us is our talents, and what we do with those talents is how we give back to God. So after taking a year off from camp, I came back as a Teen Leader. Now many years later I am blessed to be able to say I am a Barrel Racing Instructor. In my free time I train, and fix problem barrel horses, spend time with my family, and of course rodeo! I am so EXCITED to see new and returning faces to Rodeo Bible Camp 2018!
