Roping - July 17th

The Roping class is designed to sharpen existing roping skills, as well as teach beginning roping skills. This class does not use live cattle, instead campers will be roping dummys and a Hot Heels. This class is offered to intermediate through advanced riders.  Horses must have roping experience; they must have had a rope swung and thrown from them. Campers must own their own horse and have basic horsemanship skills.

Hello Campers! My name is Troy Nickel, I've been riding horses since I was a few months old. I have competed in National and World competition, receiving several championships.  I have been training horses for 25 years and I'm continually trying to better my own horsemanship skills, as well as enjoy helping others increase theirs.  I have 13 horses and 1 miniature donkey, named Black Jack.  In my free time, I enjoy working cattle on my family's ranch and playing horse soccer.  I always look forward to the summer so I can spend time rodeoing with friends and attending Cowboy Church Sunday mornings at the rodeos. I enjoy meeting more people while we enjoy the word of God together.
